An Ancient Story • A Modern Science Discovery

Why does Surya Dev’s chariot have seven white horses? Are they real horses—or could they represent something much deeper?

“Surya Dev & His Seven Horses” takes children on an exciting journey from an ancient Sanatan story to the fascinating world of modern science.

Through a simple father-and-son conversation, children discover how the seven horses can be understood as a beautiful symbolic connection to the seven colours of visible light — VIBGYOR.

The story then goes beyond what our eyes can see and introduces children to:

✨ The seven colours of visible light🔬 How a prism separates white light into colours🌈 The visible-light wavelength range📡 The electromagnetic spectrum☀️ How different types of radiation have different roles🌱 The Sun’s importance to life on Earth🕉️ How ancient stories can inspire scientific curiosity💡 Why asking questions is the beginning of discovery

The story encourages children to question, observe, explore and learn—while appreciating the wisdom and symbolism found in our ancient traditions.
